Windows 11 user: About 3 years ago, I changed banking intuitions because they discontinued downloads in the Quicken, (QFX) format to enable posting to the transaction register. No advance warning, no rational, just "boom!" Done. They were not the first to lose my business. Now another one is on my radar for the identical reason. They expect the customer to waste their time posting every transaction manually. I find it particularly irritating since the digital download and post requires little if any on their part. All the "heavy lifting" is left up to the customer. Navy Federal Credit Union is the offender this time. The last time was Discover Card. Synchrony Bank cards are the worst since they provide multiple cards but absolutely no downloads. I called Quicken customer service and was told that as far as they know, Navy FCU is still up! Navy FCU rep told me they haven't had a relationship with Quicken since April 2026! I was still downloading 3 days ago!! There is a disconnect somewhere. I have been a Quicken user since it was a DOS program and required the use of a land line & modem into which the handset was inserted to conduct transactions to & from. I find it incredible that in this day & age that so many things are going backwards instead of forward.
