US Bank connection issue

Just adding my input: for the past couple of days, I cannot connect to US Bank during the one-step update; I'm getting a CC-506 error. I'm also reading that different people are getting errors in the past few days.

Is this a Quicken issue or a US Bank issue?

I'm running version R68.31, build 27.1.68.31.

This error indicates that Quicken is unable to identify which account in your data file the downloaded information belongs to. It can occur if there is an older account in your Quicken file that is still activated for downloads, even though it is no longer active at the financial institution. If you haven't already done so, I recommend reviewing the troubleshooting steps outlined in our support article for this error. Before performing any troubleshooting, I suggest creating a backup of your Quicken data file.

Update Quicken to the latest release:

Go to Tools > One Step Update.
Deselect all items, then click Update Now.
If an update is available, follow the on-screen prompts to install the latest release.
Once the update is complete, try updating your accounts again.

Refresh your account information:

Open the affected account register.
Select the Actions gear icon at the top of the register.
Select Update Now.
Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the update.

If the issue persists, I recommend deactivating all accounts associated with U.S. Bank, including any hidden or closed accounts. Once all related accounts have been deactivated, you can reactivate them and relink them to your existing accounts.

To deactivate your accounts:

Go to Tools > Account List.
In the Account List, enable Show hidden accounts, if applicable.

Select the account you want to deactivate, then click Edit.
In the Account Details window, select the Online Services tab.

Click Deactivate next to the online service.
Click Yes to confirm.
Repeat these steps for all Fidelity accounts, including hidden and closed accounts.

Once all the accounts have been deactivated, I recommend reactivating them using only the primary account holder's credentials if these are joint accounts. This will establish a clean connection and may help prevent having to reauthorize the accounts each time.

To reactivate your accounts:

Go to Tools > Add Account.
Select Fidelity as the financial institution.
If prompted, choose the appropriate connection method.
Enter your credentials and click Connect.
When Quicken displays the list of found accounts, select Link next to each existing account.

Click Next, then Done to complete the setup.

@gillanjeff, In Q, US Bank goes by multiple different names:

U.S. Bank Internet Banking
U.S. Bank - PFM Direct Connect
U.S. Bank & U.S. Bancorp Adv
U.S. Bank College Visa
U.S. Bank Healthcare Payment Solut
U.S. Bank SinglePoint Essentials
U.S. Bank Visa Platinum

Which do you use? I use U.S. Bank- PFM Direct Connect, and haven't had any problems with them recently.

I don't know which one I use. When I update, I use Express Web Connect +;

I fixed this issue with the update troubleshooter that connected with US Bank and relinked the accounts.

My question is what would cause this issue? I didn't do anything. Would this be a function of a recent update?
