Since approximately mid-July 2026, Quicken Connect downloads from Venmo into my Venmo register have been missing the bank funding transactions. These are the transactions that occur when there isn’t enough money in my Venmo balance to cover a payment, so Venmo pulls the necessary funds directly from my linked bank account.
The funding transaction does download into my bank register, and in Quicken I categorize that transaction as a transfer to the Venmo account. That creates the corresponding transfer entry in my Venmo register. However, the matching funding transaction is no longer being downloaded from Venmo itself. As a result, when I reconcile the Venmo account in Quicken, the register is frequently out of balance. I’ve been forcing a manual balance adjustment each time I reconcile, but that clearly isn’t an ideal solution.
When I look in the Venmo app under Me → Transactions, I don’t see any record of these bank funding transactions. I’m not sure whether that is new and is the source of the problem, or whether Quicken previously had some other way of accounting for them automatically.
Has anyone else noticed this change since around mid-July? Is there a better workaround, or is this an issue with Quicken Connect/Venmo?
