I some how deleted my initial checking account balance in January 2015. Is there a way to get it back. I do not have a row that says "Opening balance."

@howard431 - if that opening balance was zero, you really don't need to get it back. If the balance amount was not zero, I think the simplest thing to do is restore a backup from before the transaction was deleted. If some time has passed since you deleted the tranaction, or you do not have a current backup and have a lot of transactions since the transaction deletion, you can still restore a backup but NOT OVERLAY OR REPLACE the current data file. Then open the backup file and then manually copy the transaction information from the backup file register to the current one.
