Blue Dot for Download

Question

I download every day and almost always have transactions from Bank of America, Citi Visa, and Costco.  Whichever one I open first to reconcile, after completing the reconciliation and closing that account view, the Blue Dot does not go away.  The reconcile was completed correctly.  I can open the other account and complete the reconciliation, close it, and the Blue Dot goes away.  In order to make the Blue Dot go away on the first account I opened, I have to go into that account again, and then the Blue Dot goes away.  There is no harm being done, but this is simply frustrating.  Any help?

This is a "bug" I have noticed for years.

Say you are in your checking account and do a One Step Update and that checking account gets a new transaction(s).  You then reconcile and go to the next account that has a blue dot on it, and notice that the blue dot on the checking account doesn't go away.

If you start One Step Update from outside of any register it will behave as expected.

What is going on it basically as you go into an account that has the blue dot they will clear it.  They don't check to clear it if you are already in the register or leaving it.  That is why when you go back into the register it gets cleared.

Ideally, they wouldn't tie the blue dot clearing to entering an account but instead tie it to when you have finished reviewing all the transactions in that account.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. Since the reconciliation is completing correctly and the blue dot disappears after you reopen the account, I’d like to gather a little more information to better understand what may be happening.

Could you please let me know:

* When did you first notice this issue?
* What type of account is experiencing the issue?
* Have you tried restoring a backup from before the issue started?
* Where is your Quicken data file located? For example, is it stored on your local hard drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, or another location?

To check, please open Quicken and go to File. At the bottom of the menu, above the Exit button, the file with the check mark next to it is the one currently open. Please let me know the full file path shown there.
