In researching how to accomplish the title, I found the CLOSED 4/10/26 discussion that has this:
Quicken has recently introduced the ability to import investing transactions from a CSV file, but it is still somewhat buggy and poorly documented. One way to see the required format is to go to File > File import > Investment transactions and then select Create sample file. This will create a sample CSV file with the correct format.
I've created a file w/that format and added the data. Everything works except the entries for "shares, price and amount" result in incorrect entries because Q is multiplying shares by amount instead of price. (I've attached screenshot, I manually fixed the 2/15/22 entry, just above the incorrect item, to reflect the proper price per share and amount, $750.
I also tried to attach my .csv file for these transactions…see below. How is Q going to solve this issue if they don't allow all the evidence?
Any help would be appreciated…if Q submits this as a solution…it ain't working.
