Quicken made me $2,000,000 richer! I wish.........

Quicken Deluxe desktop on Windows 11.

On 8/18 I purchased 2,095 shares of Adyen B.V. at 12.086401 per share for a total of about.$25,000. When I downloaded the transaction into Quicken, the transaction was correct in every way (number of shares, price, total price).

But the "HOLDINGS" screen for that account shows I have:

2,095 shares of Adyen B.V. valued at $1,237.5875 per share (wow) for a market share of $2,592,745!!!

What a bonanza! Unfortunately, my broker account has the correct values, not the Quicken values.

I re-updated the account: no change in my Quicken sudden wealth

I downloaded historical prices: no change in my Quicken sudden wealth

How do I correct this unreal bonanza?

@Jerry2 I think the issue might be that you have matched with the wrong security in Quicken. I think the fund ID s/b Adyen N.V. (ADYEY) not Adyen B.V.

That graphic shows a value of (ballpark) $12/sh … the same as @Jerry2 reported.

BUT, there's another Adyen security with a quote MUCH higher. Note the difference in the symbols.

but I think the OP states that the higher price is what Quicken is reporting and is wrong?

You both had the same right idea. I did too originally but could not spot the difference.

It turns out that the correct stock was ADYEN NV (not BV) trading as ADYEY.

My poor eyesight mistook the NV for BV but, even so, this is a stock designed for errors. ADYEN NV itself has 3 different symbols.

Thanks guys. Now I am out $2,000,000! Darn! I shouldn't have asked.
