Payment reminder keeps being re-added

I have my quarterly tax bill reminder setup.

I enter it as the time comes close and it shows up in my register.

The next time I do a one-step update, the bill is put back in to the reminder list.

I try to just say "skip" since it was originally recorded, but it comes back the next time I do update. I try to delete it since it is a duplicate, but it comes back.

I go ahead and enter it again just to see — now duplicated in register. And yes, it shows back up as a new bill reminder after update.

Any ideas??

@km8644 there was an issue earlier this year where deleted reminders kept reappearing. It was correlated with the Quicken cloud syncing. Users had to either disable Quicken cloud syncing or reset their Quicken cloud. Here is one of the posts covering those issues:

Are you Syncing to Mobile/Web? Is the Sync option in Edit / Preferences / Mobile & Web turned on?
AND
do you actually use the Mobile app on your smartphone or the Quicken on the Web browser-based app?

The Sync process has been suspected of a number of weird things happening with Quicken. Reappearing deleted or executed reminders may be one of them. Could your problem be caused by Sync?

• If you answer "yes" to the 1st question and "no" to the 2nd question, turn Sync off completely. You don't need it. The Sync process should only be used in conjunction with the Quicken app for Smartphones or the Quicken on the Web browser app. It cannot be used as a replacement for backing up and restoring your Quicken data file.
• If you answer "yes" to both questions, try to Reset Sync so that the current cloud sync file is replaced with a fresh complete copy
Do note that a full Sync process may take many minutes to complete.

How to reset Sync to Cloud
• Log out of your mobile app, then do this on your desktop / laptop:
• Go to Edit / Preferences / Mobile and Web
• Click the "Reset your cloud data" link and follow the instructions until it is complete.
• Sync your desktop file to the cloud
• Now log back into your mobile app

How to turn off Sync to Cloud for the current data file
• Go to Edit / Preferences / Mobile and Web
• Change the Sync radio button and set it to OFF

I reset cloud data and it didn't add the reminders back after doing an update.

Fingers crossed it sticks! If not, I know the secret now.

How do you have that reminder setup? Can us show us a graphic of it … with the amount blurred out to protect your privacy?

Do you actually have 4 of these setup? Because your original post said Quarterly … but the Reminder says "Once per year".

And your seems essentially the same as one of mine, so it's not apparent what the issue is.

I do have 4 of them setup rather than setting the quarterly reminder because I wanted to override Q4 date and that seemed to be the easiest.

I had issue last quarter as well and deleted all of them and re-added with same results.
