Online Center incorrectly reports Schwab SWVXX cash

I compare my holding and balances with the brokerages using the Online Center frequently. My Schwab account uses SWVXX as cash. Quickens register balance correctly includes the value of SWVXX in cash. It matches the $19,347.54 total cash on Schwab's website. But the Online Center omits the value of SWVXX and only shows the actual cash of $1,867.58.

It is apparently a Schwab issue as the Online Center correctly shows the total cash in my Fidelity accounts. They use FDRXX and FCASH.

I updated Quicken to R69.17 build 27.1.69.17 yesterday. I'm quite sure this didn't happen in the previous releases of Quicken.

It’s interesting that you’re seeing this issue in R69.17, but not in previous releases. To help determine whether the recent update is related, we can try rolling your Quicken software back to an earlier version.

To do this, please open this Support Article, then scroll down to July 2026 and download one of the two available versions. Once the download is complete, open the installer and follow the installation prompts.

After successfully rolling back to the earlier version, please check the Online Center again to see whether the SWVXX balance is being reported correctly.

Screenshots of what you're seeing before and after the rollback would also be helpful for comparison. You can use this option to attach it. Please make sure to hide or remove any sensitive account information from the screenshots.

I'm not willing to take the risk of rolling back the version to see if that's the cause. I've spent months and countless hours getting Fidelity accounts working again after last August's disastrous DC to EWC download connection. The final solution was to create a new Quicken data file, import my data from my old data file, manually correct many errors, and recreate all the reports. The issue with SWGXX being treated as cash still isn't fixed. Can't treat SWGXX as cash in Schwab brokerage account - Quicken. This SWVXX issue might be a change Schwab made.

Thank you again for the additional information. Before we look into this any further, could you please take a moment to check the Security List entry for SWVXX and confirm that it is still classified as a Money Market Fund. 

In Quicken Classic for Windows: 

Go to Tools → Security List.

Find SWVXX in the list.
Select SWVXX and click Edit.
In the security details, locate Security Type and confirm that it is set to Money Market Fund.
Please let us know what you find.

A screenshot of the SWVXX security details would also be helpful, please make sure that any personal or account information is removed or covered.

In Tools > Security List > SWVXX, selecting Edit shows the left screenshot in the upper row. There is no option in the Type list (middle and right) for "Money Market Fund" and as far as I know, there has never been that option.

The solutions in Fidelity and Schwab threads have always been on Account Details settings shown in the lower row. In SWGXX as cash in Schwab brokerage account - Quicken, 3 months ago, I suggested adding an option in editing the security; my idea is essentially what you asked me to confirm. (See screenshot.)

Please open the link and read the whole discussion. I'd encourage you to implement it and solve the Quicken / Schwab stalemate!

What's the best way to repost it as an Idea? Post my original post with the same title? Should I add a link to this discussion. Should I post the link to the Idea here and suggest reader go to it and vote?

It would be far better if Quicken monitored the community to identify posts with above average participation. Then summarize their discussions to prioritize their action. AI could easily do this? Many companies participate in the forums, so they are more responsive to their customer's needs.
