Tax Planner - SIMPLE IRA employer contributions in the paycheck are being deducted from gross payroll income in the Tax Planner.
Windows 11: all updates applied. Quicken Classic fully updated as of today
Issue MAY only affect Spouse payroll in the Tax Planner. ( There were issues only on the Spouse section earlier in 2026 ) Not tested on SELF payroll due to live data.
In the attached screenshot of the TAX PLANNER, you can see the Spouse Gross Payroll, Spouse SIMPLE IRA Payroll Deferral, and Employer 4% match. The Employer Match should not be appearing here at ALL, and in this error, that amount is also being deducted from the gross income just like the Employee Deferral Portion. In this case, that results in a $2,000 annual reduction in taxable income that should be there.
Spouse paycheck was specifically set up in QUICKEN, and SIMPLE IRA was selected during that process earlier this year ( 2026 )
NOTE: This issue occurred in 2026 and was not an issue in 2025. There were several other issues with SPOUSE payroll earlier in 2026 that have been corrected. It is possible that those changes caused this issue. I have been watching this all year to see if it would be corrected.
