What if the right account isn't available in the list from Quicken to "Link to existing account"?

I have had this happen with a Merrill account, and now it is happening with an account at Bank of America. On the Merrill, I chose to add the account, but now I have two accounts for the same investment account! How do I fix that?  And now with the B of A account - what should I choose?

Thanks - that seemed to help for the one B of A account. The whole connection seems to be very unstable with B of A/Merrill.

@NRod what I have found is that if you try to add an account without deactivating first, then it won't show up in the list of available accounts to link to on Quicken.  I am not saying that this is what happened but it is a possiblity.

It goes back to my original question of why don't all my accounts show when it asks me to "Link to an Existing account"??
