Download Transactions replaces previously Reconciled Transactions

Since the latest update to the Quicken version listed above, when I use the update transactions to download new transactions for reconciliation, I not only get new transactions (sometimes, not consistently, but that's a different problem for another time), I also get older, previously reconciled transactions overwritten by old data. That means I lose any notes or entries I added in the memo field, or category corrections, after the download. This means I am losing valuable data that I need to retain.

How do I make this stop?

this is a credit card. one of two and it only happens with the one. the bank is Citibank. The Transaction Download entry is "Yes (Express Web Connect."

Weirdly, it is set for transaction download, but automatic entry os Off.

What type of account, and what Financial Institution, is this happening with?  Because the only way that I can envision this happening is if the FITID (Financial Institution Transaction ID) is identical … which it should never be.

The other conceivable option is if you've got a corrupted Q data file.

SO, in addition to the above requested info, when you do TOOLS, Account List … what shows in the Transaction Download column next to the account?
