Quicken Classic for Mac getting slow using Quicken 9.2.1 and Tahoe 26.6.2 M1 processor

I am running Quicken on a Macbook Pro M1 with Tahoe 26.6.2 and seeing some Quicken performance issues. Occasional spinning wheels lasting 30-60 seconds…

My file size is admittedly large at 2.35gb, but I'd like to keep attachments in my accounts for ease of access…file is already in documents folder, no reports running in background…

Am I likely to still see the spinning wheels if I upgrade to Macbook Pro with M5 processor?

Does Quicken have any plans to improve file storage or better manage attachments to avoid this slowdown as file sizes continue to increase with more attachments?

Have you verified whether you have iCloud enabled to store your Desktop and Documents folders on iCloud? Many people are unaware that Apple prompted to do this during setup after an OS update. Check your System Settings for iCloud to see if Drive is On, and if so, whether Desktop & Documents Folders is turned on:

Keeping this turned off could make a difference in Quicken performance with a large data file.
