Quicken for MAC OSX

Has anyone else noticed that Quicken for OSX has slowed down tremendously over the last two days? Quick Support says there are too many account in the Qicken Register but everything worked fine with the same mmnumber of account prior to this Labor weekend. It is s slow that even dialing downloads on an account takes five or more minutes. Quicken Support says it will always help but they wanted to conlcude the support since everything they suggested took considerable "idling" time. Actually that was the very problem I needed their help with.

You might want to read this thread, which describes very slow times affecting som users. If what is described there seems like what you're experiencing, then the good news is that Quicken is aware of the issue. (The bad news is we don't know if they have been able to pin down the source and when they will release an update with a fix for it.)

Thank you, Jacobs. That which stray dogs describes is exactly the problem I face. Exactly. All started around 31 August 2026; all started around release of 9.2.1. I have since upgraded to 9.2.2 and this does not solve whatever the issue is.

I setup a vigil QMAC account in 9.2.1 with just a one banking account on a different MAC. That virgin file seems to work. I made sure not to use MOBILE synchronization on both the virgin file and the original files. This was not so easy to implement because QMAC kept asking for a WEB account even though I disabled WEB/MOBILE synching. Eventually with a lot of work I was able to get the WEB/Mobile synched with only the virgin account and then disabled synching. The original QMAC files, also disabled synching, still hangs up for a very long time. AT some point in the trouble shooting, the userid and password for each financial account got deleted. Yikes!! I will continue to try to reconstruct until Quicken QMAC solves this problem. I am sorry that straw dogs has experienced the same problem; I am hopeful that Quicken resolves issue. The Quicken Support was not helpful: they said it was too much idling and they wanted to drop of the support that. Not good, ; I hope the CEO who writes annual updates looks into this conundrum. Poor update; poor support.

The original long-term files was 2.5 GB. I tried a version with all attachments stripped out and this did not help at all.
