Today Quicken Classic has downloaded triple or quadruple pending transactions

Quicken Classic windows just updated to R69.25.

After starting an Update, which timed out half my institutions, twice. The ones that are updated are showing 3 or 4 copies of pending transactions.

Bank of America, DCU, Chase, ..all have at least 3 copies of pending transactions today.

Is something going on today or with this update? Is there a way to clear out all these pending transactions safely?

This is not currently a known or widespread issue. I think this was a temporary glitch. I would wait 24 hours and see if this resolves after updating your accounts tomorrow. I would also like to ask a few follow-up questions to help diagnose what may have caused it.

Has this happened before, or is this a one-time event?
Do you have other financial institutions that updated without any issue?
Where is your Quicken data file stored? Is it on your local hard drive (C: Drive) or a cloud-based/external drive (e.g., OneDrive, Dropbox, USB, etc.)?
- Please provide the exact file path as shown in the example below.

Have you attempted any troubleshooting steps so far? If so, what were they?
Are you using a VPN, antivirus, or malware protection software running that may have interfered with updating your accounts?
Were there any significant changes to your system or software before the issue began (updates, new installations, etc.)?

This has never happened before.
Let me clarify: the 5 accounts that updated successfully are the ones with 3x and 4x pending. There were 4 other intuitions that have CC-501.
My data file is on a local SSD drive C:\Users\Dan\Documents\Quicken\
I have not tried anything other than updating again
No VPN, no antivirus other than builtin Microsoft.
My system is unchanged, only Quicken was updated.

There is apparently another Quicken update R69.26, release notes says fixes crashes (mine is not crashing). I updated Quicken. Tried account update anyway. Same result for exactly the same accounts. It may be "temporary" CC-501 but something is failing the same way every time today multiple times, which is not clearly related to the multiple pendings unless one error caused the other. I will at least wait until those pending have finished posting.

one of my Chase accounts has 7 copies of a pending transaction, a BoA has 6 copies. It would seem to be a problem that grows with each attempt to update even though BoA claims success and Chase claims failure.

This is not a single user problem! My downloads from Chase started having duplicated pending transactions as well with different Quicken download ID numbers! It started on Wednesday, 9/9 and continues. I have NOT upgraded to the latest update.

All my institutions updated correctly today. No errors.

Chase has 8 copies of a pending transaction

BoA resolved copies of a pending that finished posting.. ..but has still has 4 copies of another still pending transaction, and 2 copies of a transfer pending

DCU has 6 copies of a pending transaction, and 2 of another.

Given that one account resolved after posting completed; I'm willing to wait and see if they all resolved after posting and y'all sort this out without my going through any triage or debug. I don't have time to be a guinea pig.

Same issue here. Every time I update, Quicken duplicates the pending transactions on all of my Bank of America and Chase credit card accounts. I don't remember when it started but it was over a week ago. I hadn't reported it because I assumed Quicken would figure out it was happening, but I guess not… Definitely not a single user problem!!

Did this start after updating your Quicken program to Version R69.25?
- If it did, does rolling your program back to an earlier version resolve the issue? For instructions, click here.
Does this exclusively affect pending transactions?
- Once they're posted, do the duplicate pending transactions vanish?
Are all these duplicates downloading during the same One Step Update, or do they keep redownloading every time you run One Step Update?
Do the duplicate pending transactions have unique Downloaded ID numbers? For instructions on how to check that, click here.

To help us further investigate the issue, please navigate to Help>Report a Problem and send a problem report with log files, a screenshot of the multiple duplicate pending transactions in your Quicken file, and a screenshot showing the transactions as they appear on the financial institution website. Note: Problem reports allow a maximum of 10 attachments. To send more than 10 attachments, you can unselect log files with OLD in the filename, or you can send a second problem report with the additional attachments.

When you send the problem report, please include at least 3 sample transactions (date/payee/amount) and the names of the affected financial institutions. Please post to this discussion to let me know once you've submitted the problem report.

All transactions finished posting. All the multiple pending transactions (except maybe one was reconciled) remain.

- FOR ME, yes, but it might be a coincidence.

  - I suspect ONE of the duplicates vanishes, but I lost count there are so many. Complicating matters, I did another update from .25 to .26 so I can't really remember.
Are all these duplicates downloading during the same One Step Update, or do they keep redownloading every time you run One Step Update?
- I don't understand the question. Each time I update, more copies arrived (until posted).
Do the duplicate pending transactions have unique Downloaded ID numbers?
- The instructions link is not correct. However, I found it: they are all identical.

Thank you for sending the logs and screenshot of the issue!

Since you already sent the logs, there's no need to keep duplicates. I recommend making a backup of your file prior to deleting them.
