Transaction error in stock activity update

Quicken is still assigning dividend activity to the wrong stock!!!!!!!

All three dividens have been assigned to a stock that is not in any of the accounts. The correct stock is identified in the memo field. Once again Quicken has failled to correct this issue that has been around for over 2 years, Simply shameful and unacceptable!!!

@Brad P if you look in your Security List on Quicken, do you see the securities that are shown in each of the "Security name" boxes?

Do you see the Investment names in the "Security name" boxes in your Security List? That answer is a critical piece of the puzzle.

No the stock name does not appear in my account holdings.

The request was for information that you see when you click Tools > Security list, not what you see when you click on an Account's Holdings button.

Quicken generally uses the CUSIP number to assign a dividend to a particular stock, so this suggests that a CUSIP is somehow miss assigned.

@Brad P Along with what Tom Young mentioned, if the securities are not in your Security List, that could mean data file corruption.

Yes the stock is in the list with only activity on 9/10. Please review past history for my account and this issue. Corperate in Mernlo has been involved and still no solution. I have gone so far as to purchase a new laptop call customer support and have them herlp me install a totally clean version of Quicken with no data file history. This is a mapping issue.

When a Financial Institution goes through a Data Core/OFX Server Change, end-users will experience some issues during the data-overlap period. The data-overlap period is when the data from the Old Core/OFX Server is reconciled with the data from the New Core/OFX Server inside Quicken. The severity of these issues depends on the amount of data changed between Old and New Core/OFX Server (i.e., account numbers, security names, custom security identifiers, etc.). One thing to point out is the fact that regardless of severity, once the issues have been addressed by the end-user, the issues will not recur once the transition is complete. The following scenarios and troubleshooting steps are designed to ease the transition between Old Data Core/OFX Server to New Data Core/OFX Server.

This issue has not been resolved.

We searched through our tickets regarding Quicken and found “Inquiry #111006”. This inquiry involved erroneous and missing transactions in Quicken. The issue was reviewed and researched by Intuit's support team at the time. Most of the correspondence was between 2022-2024. Dale Knievel and Chris Fennimore lead the investigation. I hope this information is helpful.

@Brad P it looks like you are working with Quicken Support already with this issue. I suggest that you contact them and continue to work with them. This is a community forum of other Quicken users that tries to help other users troubleshoot their issues and provide guidance. It seems like your issue is beyond the scope of this Quicken forum.
