QMAC Add a securities watchlist widget on Home Tab

I would love to have a Home Tab widget that shows me my investing watchlist. Basically a mini version of what we get with the Watchlist tab under the Investing Account Group. Ideally, I'd like it to pull form that Investing Account Group Watchlist, but let me select a subset of that list (given that the widget is smaller and I may want to focus on a smaller group).

@MrLoverLover First a question: are you using Quicken Mac or Quicken Windows? You posted this Idea under Quicken Mac, but your user profile shows Quicken Windows. If you're on Quicken Mac, you should update your profile; click the little avatar for you ink the upper right of any screen on this site; if you're on Quicken Windows, we can ask a moderator to relocate this request.

Now a comment: the Home3 screen Dashboard cards are about banking transactions, and have noting showing investments (other thant the overall Net Worth card). The place for investment-related Dashboard cards are in the Investing Dashboard screen. So wouldn't a Watchlist properly appear there rather than the Home Dashboard?

Finally a question: the Dashboard cards are pretty small, and the Quicken Mac Watchlist uses a lot of screen real-estate, so what are you suggesting appear in the default view of such a Dashboard card? To me, it seems that it takes only two clicks to get to the existing Watchlist (click on any investment account or group, click the Watchlist tab) which is no harder than reaching the Dashboard — (click on any investment account or group, click the Dashboard tab).

Fair question. I'm both. Currently migrating from Windows to Mac. But my question is for Mac. But since most of my questions will be for Mac, I did go change my profile to be Mac. Thanks for the suggestion!

I guess my view of a "Home" tab should be whatever I want to look at quick first. Things that might make me want to dig in deeper, ideally, clicking on the widget and taking me to where I can get more details. A home page or a dashboard should highlight things I should go check out.

I generally agree with your view of what the Dashboard should be, but the issue I see is that Quicken Mac has two separate dashboard areas currently: one "Home" and one investing. Perhaps the long-term solution is to merge all the dashboards onto the Home page, but I think that would lead to a very busy Home page with many cards to scroll through. But if they just create an investing Watchlist card on the Home page, as you're suggesting, then I'm sure other users would clamor for one or more of the existing investment dashboard cards to be moved there because a quick view of their holdings or asset allocation is what they'd want to see at a glance.
