Recurring Investment Transacttions?

Hi,

I have some stocks that pay quarterly dividends.  They are automatically deposited into my checking account.  I am able to add a "transfer reminder" that records the xfer from my stock account to my checking account, but this does not record the transaction as dividend income.  So, I go into the stock account and edit the transaction to make it an "income" transaction that is transferred to the checking account.

Is there a way to create a reminder dividend income transaction so I don't have to go back and edit the transaction?

Note that it is only after you set the account to an investment account that the Dividend and Interest options become available.

Absolutely!  I have many such reminders.  Just set up an "Income Reminder":

Due next on - the date of the next dividend payment.   Change the frequency to Quarterly

Amount is the amount of the dividend

To Account - your investment account

Next change "Deposit" to "Dividend"

Then pick the security the dividend is for.

Edit: you may need to edit the reminder when the details change (such as date or amount).

That should do it.  Your transfer reminder should stay as is.
