I checked my release which also says my Subscription expired on December 1, 2025, but I paid my Subscription on that date so it should NOT be expired.
Download works for my other accounts. This is the first download since new release.
I also tried with a CSV file but all the transactions say INVALID action. Where is help for using a CSV file?
I have multiple Fidelity accounts with > 200 transactions since 9/4.
@PaulaManildi if your subscription is current, but Quicken gives you a "subscription expired" error, try logging out and back in with your Quicken ID:
That seems to have fixed the subscription issue; when I instruct it to download Fidelity transactions, it downloads all but…
Seems the system decided to download some items I had already reconciled. This is an ongoing problem where it will 'Match' but still enter a new transaction, duplicating one already manually entered, but without the category. Super annoying but workable.
I still have no new Fidelity transactions.
[Edited - Readability/Removed Personal Information]
It could be because you reset your Quicken ID. For this instance, I would just delete the duplicates. Then be on the lookout for recurring duplicates. If that happens, please report back.
Cool. What about the lack of download from Fidelity? I have 9 accounts and while I can manually keep up with 8 of them, the managed account has 218 transactions in the last 10 days…
@PaulaManildi if you look in your Account List for these 9 Fidelity accounts, what does it show for
This information will determine next steps
They all say "Yes (Express Web Connect+). All have Fidelity Investments as the Financial Institution. Last Download isn't a column. It does show last reconciled date which varies.
@PaulaManildi Ok, good. I need to clearly understand the downloading issues. Is it only one or so accounts that you are having issues with, or all? Are they not downloading transactions? Are you getting any error messages?
@PaulaManildi You can choose what columns are displayed by clicking the OPTIONS button at the bottom of the Account List dialog.
Please enable 'Last Download" and tell us what's shown there.
[EDIT] I, just now, updated to R69.29 and I also have multiple accounts at Fidelity. I'll report back what tomorrow what happens with the download scheduled for that AM [/EDIT]
All say "Not Available", even if I try again.
Please elaborate upon this reply. Because it seems to be contradicted by your "Not Available" in the "Last Download" column.
WHAT, is downloaded? And, how do you initiate that download?
When, you do a One Step Update (OSU) do all of the Fidelity accounts show up on the results screen? If you have chosen the option only to show it if there are errors, then you can also pull it up at →Tools→One Step Update Summary.
We should wait to hear back from @NotACPA tomorrow, after he updates his Fidelity accounts. That will give us a better idea of this scope of this issue. Plus, he is the resident expert on Fidelity Investments.
No problem with downloading into R69.29 from Fidelity.
SO, I'm beginning to suspect a file corruption issue.
@PaulaManildi Have you tried taking a backup and then VALIDATING your Q data file?
I have created a backup. Steps to validate Q data file?
This was displayed during my update this morning.
Still no Fidelity tx. Starting a Validate now.
[Edited - Removed partial account numbers]
@PaulaManildi if all of your accounts are listed then I think your accounts are downloading transactions just fine. After OSU completed, if you go to each of your account registers, do you see a current update date and time? Or an old date? Or all or some accounts blank under the account name?
After you've taken a "just in case" backup, you can Validate your file by clicking FILE, Validate and Repair File, checking Validating File and OK.
BUT, another thought just occurred to me. Click EDIT, Preferences, Downloaded Transactions. Is "Automatically Add to Investment Transaction Lists" checked?
How do your account balances, in Q, compare to what's shown on Fidelity's website?
So validation did a bunch of things . Quicken doesn't like that stock splits are considered "Added" transactions by Fidelity so thinks there has to be a specific tx, but just says they are missing.
Many transactions are linked to accounts no longer in quicken (I have been using Q for > 20 years and have had to reduce the file).
I have done a update for Fidelity and There are still no Fidelity tx. So I did a one-step and the 2 accounts I have indicated as "automatic entry" got updates. But not the ones that are truly important. I don't really want the managed account transactions to get entered without me reviewing, but is that what I have to do? I have no updates to these accounts since 9/4.
Also, I'm curious about you showing Fidelity Investments twice, and what those values after each Fidelity listing might mean.
2 of my Fidelity brokerage accounts begin with an X, but not an XX, and as seen in my graphic, no account values were shown. Of "my" 6 Fidelity accounts, 4 belong to me and 2 to my wife, but I have access to her accounts via my login and only rarely need to use her login.
Fidelity does, typically download ADDED transactions for stock splits. I just delete them and use Q's "Stock Split" action.
The recommended action here, from several SuperUsers is that NO "Automatically Add' options be used.
But what about that comparison of Q's account balances to the website?
@Sceptic I am unsure what you are asking. None of my account names are blank. As for current date, the last line is always today, awaiting an entry.
@NotACPA under EDIT, Preferences, Downloaded Transactions "Automatically Add to Investment Transaction Lists" is NOT checked. I reconcile all my accounts daily when possible (which for Fidelity accounts with outstanding transactions has not been possible, although those with few I have added those manually). So I have 2 of my husband's and 4 of mine missing multiple tx and the remaining 3 are reconciled and up to date. The two lines for Fidelity - the 5150 is my traditional IRA account, I am unsure why it is separate. None of our accounts begin with XX.
What else
Seems like all it is doing for my fidelity accounts is updating quotes now.
@PaulaManildi this is what I was referring to. Any time you do an OSU, the date and time stamp should be current. If it is blank or has an old timestamp, that is indicative of an issue -
I don't know what you have opened to see that…
[Edited - Removed partial account number]
On another note, my bank account now has 5000 too much because it has added multiple transactions that I now have to delete. All those that it seems to have trouble matching get re-added. the match algorithm had ISSUES…
At this point I am considering abandoning this product if you can't identify the problem with Fidelity and now this unmatch situation…
@PaulaManildi there is no date and time stamp in the screen shot you provided. That plus the fact that nothing is downloading means your online connections are not working or "broken".
What I would suggest is to deactivate and reactivate all your Fidelity accounts.
Before making any changes, make a backup of your data file.
For each account that is connected to Fidelity Investments:
After all Fidelity accounts have been deactivated:
Once all accounts have been deactivated and the FI information has been removed:
This is the most important step.
When Quicken displays the list of accounts found at Fidelity:
Repeat until every Fidelity account is linked to its existing Quicken register.
After all accounts have been linked:
Important: If Quicken presents multiple Fidelity accounts during activation, take your time during the linking screen. The most common mistake is accidentally selecting Add instead of Link to Existing Account, which can result in duplicate accounts being created.
@PaulaManildi I would suggest that we get your connection fixed first, and then tackle the differences, or duplicate transactions.
The Validate is often blamed for causing problems, but in most cases, it's simply revealing corruption or inconsistencies that were already present. Think of it like a medical exam: the exam didn't create the condition; it just discovered it. When Validate repairs or rebuilds parts of the file, underlying issues that had been hidden can become apparent, making it seem as though Validate caused them when it actually uncovered them.
@PaulaManildi there seems to be a Quicken Alert out there for Fidelity Investments -
I am not sure this relates to any of the issues you've been experiencing, but I just wanted to make you aware of it. I don't remember if you indicated that you had gotten any error codes or not.
@PaulaManildi the timestamp is in the account register, under the account name. The screenshot you provided of the account register does not show a timestamp. When a timestamp is missing or old, it can mean different things.
#3 is usually resolved by the step by step instructions I provided, but yes, maybe at this point you should wait for the Fidelity issue to be resolved to see if that would solve your issue as well.
The only caveat I have is if @NotACPA might have some other suggestions in the meantime.
@PaulaManildi another suggestion I can make is to contact Quicken Support if none of the troubleshooting steps provided in this Quicken forum solves your issues. They can work with you and see your screens real-time. They also have access to logs and files that would help diagnose the issues, and hopefully resolve them.

At this point, I'm going to echo @Sceptic's suggestion that you contact Q Support via the link provided and NOT by a Google search (which predominantly returns scam results).
There's something very unusual, and contradictory, about what you're reporting and it doesn't make a lot of sense to me … which seems to be making this "messaging type support" sub-optimal.
A chat, or preferably a phone session, with Q Support, where you let them share (but not touch) your Q data would seem to be the most direct approach to your issues.
I believe that this is a Quicken/Fidelity issue - I have 15 Fidelity accounts and the same problem. The "solution" per Quicken chat support was to restore the latest backup where Fidelity (and USAA) worked, deactivate these accounts, and then re-add. My concern is that the last time something like this happened and Quicken helped me resolve my issue (and it was a Quicken issue), numerous accounts had duplicate transactions, cash balances were incorrect, and I spent hours fixing accounts. Reading this commentary brings back nightmares, but it also does remind me that the last time this occurred was about a year ago and this was when my subscription was due. When I finally got a supervisor on the phone, he had me "update" my subscription to show that it had been "renewed". He said it was the first thing that should have been checked by the Quicken support staff as some of the recommended solutions to issues would never be resolved without an "updated" subscription even though I was paid up. I am waiting a few days to see if Quicken/Fidelity figures this one out - I do not want a repeat of last year.
I deactivated 5 accounts (including my ROTH), when went to activate the ROTH though the dialog, the ROTH wasn't listed. 4 were listed, 3 already connected. Definitely an API issue with Fidelity if we are limited to 4 accounts.
I have 6 accounts connected for download from Fidelity Investments in my primary file.
BTW, I'm not having ANY problems with downloading from those 6 Fidelity accounts NOR for the single Fidelity account of a club where I'm the Treasurer.
