R69.29 locks up on One Step Update [Edited]

I tried validating and using older, known-working data files, but could not get Quicken stable on R69.29, where I could One Step Update without the software locking up. I backed down to R69.21 and validated again, reset all my online connections, but now it's stable, and I am leaving it there. I blocked QuickenPatch.exe in Windows Firewall to prevent any updates. Let me know when you get this newer code stable; until then, I am sticking to .21.

  • Through a prompt when you opened the software, by uninstalling/resinstalling, or by applying a patch?
• Where is your data file located?
  • Here is a Support Article with steps on how to find your file, if needed.
• Is your file being backed up/synced by any third-party software?
  • This could include, but is not limited to, OneDrive, Dropbox, Carbonite, or Backblaze.
• Do you have any Windows updates pending?
  • If so, complete those and try updating Quicken again.
• Are you running Windows on a PC or in Parallels on a Mac?
