Fidelity CMA Still Downloads 2 Transactions Buy or Sell with MMF treated as Cash

I believe I have my settings correct, but when there is a debit or credit transaction in my Fidelity CMA account, it downloads that properly but also includes a corresponding Buy or Sell transaction. I then have to delete the Buy or Sell and then the cash balance reconciles properly. Would love to not have the Buy or Sell downloaded particularly since I thought the feature to treat MMF (or SPAXX) in this case as cash. Is this known issue?? Any plans to fix??

Thank you for reaching out! The issue you describe sounds similar to a known SPAXX issue (CTP-17740), but some details differ. To help troubleshoot, please provide more information:

When did you first notice this behavior?
Was it previously downloading correctly?
- If it was, did this issue start after an update to a specific version of Quicken? If so, which version?
Is the account connected in your Quicken file as a Brokerage?
- If not, what kind of investment account is it in your Quicken file (401k, IRA, etc.)?

Hello Kristina - I noticed this. I believe we updated to Quicken for Mac 9.2.2; it did download correctly prior to that. My account is set up as a Brokerage account. Also, I didn't report it, but I also noticed another change at the same time. When Reinvested Dividend transactions are downloaded, they come as two related transactions - a Dividend Income and a Buy - whereas previously they would download as one Reinvested Dividend transaction. Thanks for your help!

Hmmm - Another Fidelity user reports that the same Fidelity reinvestments download as Dividend + Buy in Quicken Mac but continue to download as a single ReinvDiv in Quicken Windows. If Fidelity alone determines the transaction type, how can the two Quicken products interpret the same Fidelity activity differently? Could this please be escalated as a Quicken Mac Fidelity-translation issue? I also raised this with Fidelity tech support, and their response was: Fidelity doesn't have a way to adjust how this transaction data is interpreted. We simply provide account data and transactions that then get labeled by third-party platforms like Quicken.
