I've had this problem with Quicken for years. It's useless to me if I cannot download transactions. The bank is Waypoint Credit Union.
Thanks

If you take a close look at the screen shot @UKR provided, you can see that the logo says "Coreplus Credit Union". I have an old copy of the FIDIR file as of 8/08/26 and there was no Waypoint listed, but there was a Coreplus Credit Union. In the current FIDIR file, the Coreplus name was replaced by Waypoint. They both used or use the same FI number 40746.
@snilson9 I went to the Waypoint website, and it looks like they just completed a system update for the merger of Coreplus/Scient and Waypoint as of 9/28/26. There is also a banner that you can click into to get information about the system update. It gives a detailed timeline of what you should do before the merger starting 9/23/26, during the merger, and after the merger 9/28/26. They do mention to download information for Quicken as of 9/23/26.
The merger between Coreplus and Waypoint was completed on 10/01/25, but the Waypoint name was not publicly announced until July 2026. You state that you had issues for years. Were you banking at the original Wayfair, which did not support Quicken, or Scient, or Coreplus? Either way, I think the best thing for you to do at this point is contact Waypoint CU and let them know what you are experiencing when you try to connect with Quicken. Your issues could definitely be due to the merger and system updates.
Please let us know what you find out. If you are unable to resolve your issue after contacting Waypoint CU, please circle back and pick up where you left off and continue to work with @Quicken Levetta
In the list of supported financial institutions which my Quicken for Windows uses, a Waypoint Credit Union is listed:
Is this the CU you're looking for?
If this CU is not available in your Quicken Mac, I'd say it's time to contact Quicken Support on the phone during posted hours of operation and request help. Let them do a screen share session with you to review the situation on your computer, to determine the nature of the problem and to figure out how to fix it.
Hello @snilson9 ,
Thank you for reporting this issue.
I have a few questions that may help us troubleshoot the problem:
Thank you for providing this information. It will help us better understand and troubleshoot the issue.
It is in the Quicken Mac fidir.txt file too:
ofx-prod-filist.intuit.com/qm2400/data/fidir.txt
I do get to this screen. When I click on next I get the following: Quicken is unable to verify The financial institution Information for this download. Please try again later.
I eventually get to this screen :
Data that’s accessed
Your data is kept private
You’re in control
At this point I get a message That Quicken cannot find the bank . So it tries to set up a generic checking account. This is as far as I get every time . Thanks for taking the time to help me out .
I will note that the reason @UKR and I mentioned Quicken Mac is because you posted in a Quicken Mac category, not a Windows one.
I called the Waypoint Credit union and found out that the problem is at their end. They hope to correct it by the end of the day. Obviously I should have called them as a first step. Live and learn. Thank you everyone for your help for this matter. Steve
It looks like I'm back to square one. The bank says Quicken is working. However I still cannot get quicken To recognize waypoint Credit Union. It also does not recognize Chase. Just seems like they're not talking to one another.
What is exactly happening when you try to connect these accounts with Quicken? Where in the process do you get stopped? Any error messages or codes?
The answers to @Quicken Levetta 's questions would also add some insight to your issue
Just out of curiosity, Has anyone tried to add waypoint credit union to their Quicken account? I have spoken with Quicken support and as of yet they have not been able to fix the problem. I may try deleting Quicken and a complete reinstall. Wish me luck. Thanks
