Franklin Templeton now has OL-221-A & OL-221-B errors with .QFX files

I replied to a discussion that formerly provided a workaround for this error. Link to closed discussion

Well, hate to say but that door closed.

If you select Download Posted Transactions the spinner to change the selection has been removed, ans the only download is .CSV ☹️

So back to Recent Transactions but that download of a .QFX file still fails as before OL-221-A

Help!

Quicken Carlos

Hi @Tip.N.Ring,

Thanks for letting us know about the issue you're experiencing and for sharing the Community thread that was previously closed. If you haven't already done so, I suggest following the steps outlined in our Web Connect Troubleshooting support article.

One possible cause of this error is an incorrect system date or time setting.

To adjust these settings in Windows:

1. Click the Start button, then click Control Panel. In Windows 10, the Control Panel is located in the Windows System folder in the Start menu.
2. Click Clock, Language, and Region, then click Date and Time.
3. Click Change Date and Time and verify that the date and time settings are correct.

If you continue to receive the error after verifying your system date and time, the issue may be with the QFX file itself.

As noted in our support article for OL-221, receiving this error when downloading a QFX file directly from your financial institution's website indicates an issue with the file itself. In that case, you will need to contact your financial institution to have the issue with the file resolved.

If your financial institution confirms that it no longer supports QFX files, you may be able to import your transactions using a properly formatted CSV file instead. The CSV file must contain the first seven comma-separated columns in exactly this order. The remaining columns are optional, but if included, they must appear in this order:

• Date
• Payee
• FI Payee
• Amount
• Debit/Credit
• Category
• Account
• Tag
• Memo
• Chknum

Once you have created a properly formatted CSV file, you can import it into Quicken using the steps below:

To import a CSV file

1. Open your Quicken data file.
2. Select File > File Import > Banking Transactions > From (.CSV) File.
Note: You can also select Create Sample File for additional guidance on the required format.
3. In the Import transactions from .CSV file window, review the format requirements.
4. Select Choose .CSV File to Import…
5. Browse to and select your CSV file.
6. Select OK.

I hope this helps! Please let us know how it goes.
