Fidelity, again

For the past 2 weeks, I have been getting a "you must renew login" from fidelity, so when I try to do that, there is lots of flashing of screens, etc, then a note saying basically "can't do this now, try again later". Later never comes. CC-501 R69-53

Thank you for reaching out about the issue you are having with Fidelity. We currently have an open alert with them. We deployed a fix for this issue, and it should be resolved. When I check your connections internally, I see an FDP-350, a Mac error related to the Windows error CC-901.

You'll need to click Reauthorize, then follow the on-screen prompts to sign in and reauthorize your accounts. In some cases, the financial institution limits connectivity to avoid excess traffic. This can prevent the reauthorization process from resolving the issue. If this happens, try again later. I have attached all the articles highlighted in blue, which walk you through troubleshooting steps.

as I got before. I also tried deactivating one account and tried to reactivate, but that ended up with the same end point. I don't see the "attached highlighted articles in blue". Where do I look to find them?

Just to confirm, is the “Try Again” error you’re experiencing the same as the one shown in the screenshot below?
If so, do you have a VPN or antivirus software running on your computer? Also, is your browser up to date, or are there any pending updates?
If the error looks different from the one shown in the screenshot, I suggest uploading a screenshot of the error message you’re receiving.

This information will help us better understand what may be causing the “Try Again” error and provide you with the best troubleshooting steps.

when I do try again on one step update, I simply get the CC-501 We are unable to update due to an unknown error screen on One Step Update Summary. When I go to Account List and try to set up new account or reset an existing one, I get

I do have Sentinel Agent antivirus, no VPN. My Windows is on automatic update, Firefox is my preferred browser, up to date.

Thanks for your reply and for sharing the screenshot of the error you're seeing. After reviewing our internal tools, I found the FDP-350 error mentioned in the Community Alert. This error can occur when the security token used to connect your account has expired, requiring you to reauthorize the connection and revoke Quicken's existing authorization. Since the "Fix It" button didn't resolve the issue, I suggest manually refreshing the connection by deactivating and reactivating the account. Before proceeding, I recommend creating a backup of your Quicken file.

To deactivate the account:

Select Tools > Account List.
Select the account you want to deactivate and click Edit.
In the Account Details window, select the Online Services tab.
Click Deactivate next to the service you want to disable.
Click Yes to confirm that you want to deactivate the service.
Click OK.

Before reconnecting the account, I also suggest removing Quicken’s existing authorization from your financial institution’s website:

Sign in to your financial institution’s website.
Navigate to the section that manages connected apps, third-party access, or desktop application permissions.
Remove or revoke Quicken’s existing authorization.
Return to Quicken and add or reactivate the account.
Complete any authorization prompts provided by the financial institution.
When the list of located accounts appears, select LINK next to each account you want to reconnect.
Once the account has been reconnected, perform an account update to confirm that the connection is working properly.

figured out the problem. I did all the recommended things several times with no success. I decided to turn off all of my browser extensions, thinking something might be blocking a key step. got rid of e.g. UBlock origin, Privacy Badger, facebook container - and everything worked like a charm! No idea which was the problem, but something I need to remember in the future when I get an unexpected problem. Thanks for your help
