Using Quicken Classic Premier on Windows.
Two questions for TastyTrade users:
Thank you.
I did not find TastyTrade listed in Add Account nor in the FIDIR (Financial Institutions Directory) list file. This means that TastyTrade does not support Quicken.
If you want TastyTrade to support Quicken you should request TastyTrade to contract with Quicken's aggregator (Intuit) to be added to the FIDIR list. Unless and until TastyTrade does that downloading from TastyTrade into Quicken will not be possible.
However, you can still add TastyTrade to Quicken as a manually managed account which would require you to manually add and edit transactions.
There is another option I should have mention that might work for you other than doing everything manually. It appears that TastyTrade does allow manually downloading transactions in CSV format. That CSV file will need to be reformatted to match Quicken's CSV import requirements before the file can then be manually imported into Quicken. You can read more about how to do this in this Help Article: https://info.quicken.com/win/import-transactions-from-csv-file .
Some have reported that this manual reformatting process can be a confusing or cumbersome process. What others have done is to download a free file formatting conversion application (developed and maintained by a long-time Quicken Classic user) called ImportQIF. It can convert QIF, Excel, CSV and OSF files into a QIF file that Quicken can then manually import. See the following thread saying how to use it and where to download it from:
I think Tastytrade is the new name for Tastyworks. Qucken's FIDIR does have an entry for Tastyworks which only seems to offer EWC as a connection method.
Even though EWC is the only connection method offered, that itself does not determine if TastyTrade offers Compete Investment Tracking or not.
Here is the FI on Quicken. If you click on the link for "tastyworks.com", it takes you to the Tastytrade website.
@Sceptic - Thanks for pointing this out. I remember seeing TastyWorks in the FIDIR but I didn't make the connection that TastyWorks was rebranded to TastyTrade back in 2023.
@jsclark - As mentioned by @Sceptic, TastyWorks supports only EWC (I confirmed by going through part of the account set up process that it truly is EWC and not EWC+). Here is the FIDIR listing:
69274 69274 69274 tastyworks, Inc https://tastyworks.com/ 1-212-598-8000 https://tastyworks.com/ ACTIVE ACCOUNTINFO,INVESTMENT&EXP-WEB-CONNECT NOT_QBP NA
My memory might be failing me but I seem to recall that EWC has only ever supported Simple Tracking, not Complete Tracking. But I might be mistaken about that.
If you want you can set up a test file by going to File > New Quicken File. Name the file TEST. Then go to Tools > Add Account and type in TastyWorks in the search field. Then try setting up the account with your TastyTrade account login. If it works you will see what data gets downloaded and if it sets up with Simple or Complete Tracking.
If it sets up with Simple Tracking: Go to the General tab of Account Details. If Complete Tracking is supported that is where you will be able to do that. If that option is not present then Simple Tracking will be the only method available.
But getting back to your original question: No, DC is currently not a connection method that TastyTrade/TastyWorks currently supports.
