Quicken Reinstall

Question

Hi! I have been a customer for years before subscriptions. I no longer have a copy of Quicken Classic on CD. I no longer can afford subscription and my home PC crashed. I'm back up again but would like to know if I am entitled to a copy of Quicken Classic so I can at least take advantage of the program offline? If so, how can I obtain it?

If you paid for Quicken Subscription, that is a different story.  I thought you were referring to an earlier version of Quicken.

No. I recently had a Quicken Classic subscription. When was the last year they did away with physical software? I originally started with a Disk installation and continued until all of a sudden they started a subscription. So technically, I paid for the software and was only paying them additionally annually for bank data access.

The short answer is no you aren't entitled to new copy of Quicken just because you bought it in the past, but depending on what was the last version of Quicken you used, you might be lucky because Quicken Inc does provide the last truly offline version of Quicken Windows Deluxe (2013) as a way for people to upgrade and it can be used for free.  But if you were using a version later than 2013, Quicken Windows Deluxe will not be able to read your data file.  To use it you would have to start over.
