Anyone have recommendations on this?
I want to run a report for payments made to a specific payee from a checking account.
The payee is a doctor.
Yeah, that's usually simple. BUT…
Over time, we've paid this payee with a credit card, zelle and check.
So a $x payment to the credit card (the payee for that transaction) has category splits - medical with that doctor in the memo field
Connecting online to my bank - chase - it shows for the zelle transactions that zelle is the payee. I add medical to the category and the doctors name in the memo field
Writing a check - that's the cleanest - the doctor is the payee, memo is the doctor's name and category is medical.
When I run a report for categories, click on medical, i see all this (and other doctors) transactions from zelle, checks and credit cards. I can export that to a spreadsheet then remove the other transactions. But I was hoping a simpler method.
Any recommendations?
Best I can think of is a sub category under medical category?
