I have quicken for windows and a discover card. I have deactivated downloads from discover. quicken does not allow me to change the institution from discover to capital one. Any help would be appreciated. TY.
@Alreadylost that happens from time to time where the Financial Institution field is either "hard coded" or not removable. The best thing to do is when you activate the Capital One card use Tools→Add account to activate and link the account to the existing account on Quicken. The Financial Institutional Name field then should show Capital One.

@Alreadylost - After you have deactivated the account on the Online Services tab of Account Details, did you go to the General tab and try deleting all of the Financial Institution Information (everything above the Contact Name field)? Or are you saying that you are not able to delete that FI Information after deactivating the account?
If you can delete the FI Information after deactivating, then try setting up Cap One via Add Account, again, making sure to link the downloaded data to the deactivated Discover Card account.
This solved my situation.
Thank You!
