PNC Connectivity Issues [Edited]

Hello! I am once again having trouble with my PNC accounts updating in Quicken. It happened before the most recent update, which I installed yesterday. I have been away from the computer for a week or so, so I really don't know which day it started. Is this a known issue, or am I the only one?

Are you receiving any error codes or messages when trying to update your PNC accounts? If so, could you share the exact error message?
If possible, could you upload a screenshot showing the error or issue you're experiencing?
Have you tried restoring a backup of your Quicken data file from before installing the latest update? If so, did that make any difference?

Your answers will help us better understand the situation and determine whether it may be related to a known issue or whether additional troubleshooting steps may help.

I too just an an issue with re-authorization of my existing accounts between Quicken and PNC Bank.

During the first attempt, I went through the process and it indicated that "Your accounts have been authorized successfully!". During this first attempt, it found my two accounts at PNC and seemed to create authorizations to non-existent accounts in Quicken. There was no linkage established and the resulting screen even said that "here are your two accounts and here are the two accounts in Quicken that will NOT be updated".

Second attempt: I went to the gear icon and Setup Online Transactions and started the process again. This time it provided a different screen that allowed my to chose the existing accounts to link my PNC accounts to. If I remember correctly, the last time that PNC required re-authorization, about the same thing happened.

It took about 15 minutes of the spinning circle before I finally received the "Accounts Updated" screen.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us! I’d recommend trying an alternative connection option, PNC Bank – Direct Connect, to see if it resolves the issue.

Before proceeding, please back up your Quicken file, then follow these steps to deactivate and reconnect your accounts using the alternative connection method.

1. Deactivate the affected accounts

Select the Tools menu and select Account List....
In the Account List, select the account you want to deactivate, and then click Edit.
In the Account Details window, click the Online Services tab.
Click Deactivate next to the service you want to disable.
Click Yes to the message confirming if you want to disable this service.
Repeat these steps for each affected account.
Log in to your bank’s website and revoke Quicken’s third-party access (if applicable).

2. Reactivate accounts

Go to Tools> Add account
Select the bank for the deactivated account(s). If prompted, select the connection method.
Enter your credentials and click Connect.
When the list of located accounts appears, choose LINK next to each account you want to reactivate (do not choose Add, as that would create duplicates).
Click Next then Done on the last prompt.

Thank you for the reply. My point of the post was to relay that the automated first attempt (the pop-up just appeared) at re-authorization failed to provide the prompt to link to an existing Quicken account. When I started a manual process from within the Quicken Online Service screen of the account, the process went as I expected and provided the screen in step 4 of Reactivate accounts in your reply. My Quicken and accounts are working and are now synced again.

If there is any follow-up that needs to be done, it would be for Quicken to work on making the process work the first time and not require users to make a second attempt. While I have used Quicken since it first came out, Online Services always seems to have issues like the one I experienced this time.
