I need to print a check register, and I cannot get all the columns on the page. I excluded as many columns as I could, then I narrowed the column widths, hoping that it would print everything across the page. It prints across the page to the amount column but not the balance. I need the balance to check my info, but I can't get the balance column to print.

Hi @rochar70,
Thank you for reaching out! Could you please clarify which columns you’d like to print in addition to the Balance column and which account type you’re working with (banking, credit card, or investments)? Also, are you using the File > Print option?
These details will help me better understand your setup and provide the most relevant guidance.
Looking forward to your response!
@rochar70 If you are using File > Print, you should be able to see all the columns you need. Here's a screenshot of one of my registers showing Date, Payee, Category, Memo/Notes, Transfer, Payment, Clr, Deposit, Balance and Check # columns:
I did not to any tweaking/narrowing of column widths to get them to fit as shown above.
In fact, if I now add an additional column (Tags), Quicken auto-resizes what fits to include the additional columns in the same width:
What columns are you trying to print, and how are you generating the report?
If you try to print too many columns they won't fit on the page anymore and columns will start disappearing off the right edge of the paper or PDF. Here's an example where half a dozen selected columns (including Balance) are missing (and the right-hand column is cutoff in the middle):
Changing the print orientation from Portrait to Landscape will provide extra room so more columns can be printed, that may restore the Balance column for you. Another option is to rearrange the columns so Balance is farther to the left, the columns are printed in the same order that they appear on screen.
Hmmm… I keep adding columns and it just shrinks the column width and makes them all fit:
Another thing which might help is changing the Scaling in the print dialog box to a value smaller than 100%; I can't verify, because I haven't gotten it to be too wide!
Try turning on all the columns; for me at some point they stopped getting smaller (I eventually had more than half of the available columns displayed).
Also, changing the print scaling doesn't work, it just leaves part of the page unused with the same columns still cut off.
