Devs, please fix sync

When I add a new file, which I have done nearly every year since 1995, it makes my file sync with the cloud, causing me to lose transactions. Please, can you please, please, please remove this auto sync when an account is created? It is making my life miserable. Each fall I need to create a new file just like I did in 1995 and each fall I have to play the game of "What is missing?!?!?"

Since this is primarily a user-to-user forum, you may also want to contact Quicken Support directly or submit feedback to Quicken if you'd like this request reviewed by the development team.

To better understand what may be happening, could you provide a little more detail about your process?

• What steps do you take each year when creating the new file?
• At what point do you believe transactions are being lost?
• After setting up the accounts, what steps do you take to disable or deactivate Sync?
• Are the affected accounts connected using Express Web Connect or Express Web Connect+?

One thing to keep in mind is that some current connection methods rely on cloud services behind the scenes, even for users who do not use the Quicken mobile or web apps. Understanding exactly when the transactions go missing and how Sync is being disabled may help determine whether this is a Sync issue, an account setup issue, or something else in the file creation process.
