I am experiencing persistent discrepancies between Quicken Classic Premier for Windows and my Charles Schwab account prices.
Software: Quicken Classic Premier for Windows, R69.53
Issue: Security prices in Quicken frequently do not match Schwab, even after updating quotes.
What I am experiencing
- The problem has existed for some time, initially affecting a recurring group of securities.
- Some securities occasionally match, but most frequently do not.
- The discrepancies go in both directions: some Quicken prices are higher and others lower than Schwab.
- On October 29, 2026, I updated Quicken quotes after the market closed.
- I compared the Quicken Security List with Schwab's positions page approximately two minutes apart.
- 16 of 22 securities had different prices. Six matched, including the cash money-market holding.
Examples from October 29
Ticker | Schwab | Quicken |
|---|
AMZN | $226.00 | $243.79 |
CVX | $233.63 | $231.46 |
GLW | $122.90 | $128.88 |
LHX | $279.7055 | $258.00 |
PNC | $234.44 | $231.83 |
UBS | $47.21 | $48.13 |
Additional observations
Quicken Price History frequently shows zero High and Low values and sometimes zero or unusually low Volume values.
This has occurred across several securities, including AMZN, GLW, ENB, UBS, UPS and SCHD.
I also tested the security setting Ignore prices from broker download on GLW. Changing the setting changed Quicken's price, but did not resolve the discrepancy with Schwab.
Questions
- Is this a known problem with Quicken's quote service or brokerage price downloads?
- Why would so many securities have incorrect prices after a successful quote update?
- Is there a recommended fix that does not require manually correcting individual security prices?
- Could this be related to Quicken R69.53?
I would appreciate a technical explanation or confirmation that this issue is being investigated.
