How do I change however I entered my I-bonds (Treasury Direct) to a security?

I have several I-bonds, and when I added accounts for them, I think I might have entered them as CDs, but I'm not sure.

I can't find where Quicken will show me that.

Now that I've bought another I-bond, I searched the community to learn the correct method (not realizing that I was incorrect with the others) and found out that I should be creating a TreasuryDirect account in Quicken and then Buy securities for this new I-bond (5 bonds for a total of $5000)

But how do I convert/change the OTHER I-bonds to a security in this as-yet-not-created TreasuryDirect account…?

Thank you for sharing your issue. I am happy to help!

To help look and see how the Bond was set up, you can go to Tools>Security List. Look for the Bond you added. On the right of the bond, click Edit.

In the details page that opens, there is the section for "Type"; you should be able to edit the type to be a bond.

If that does not let you change it to a Bond, the best option would be to delete what you created and add the Bond again. Steps for creating a bond can be found in this Help Article.
