I loaded a new SEP IRA account from Wells Fargo and the securities value is not showing in my account bar.  It only shows the cash value.  It is downloading the deposit transactions and maintaining the securities value correctly.  It just does not show the right value. I am using Quicken for Windows 2016 on Win 7.

Reconcile (compare) your new investment account register with the brokerage statements.
    Resolve all discrepancies.
Ensure that the Opening (Cash) Balance as well as any security holdings are recorded properly.
Look for and resolve any Placeholder transactions.

    About Placeholders

    "N/A" in
certain fields of an investment transaction indicates that you have
Placeholder transactions in your account that need to be resolved.

For more about Placeholders please go into Quicken Help (press the F1 key from
anywhere in Quicken) and perform a Contents search for
    "placeholder".

Alternatively or in addition to the above, read the first few articles found
    here: https://www.quicken.com/search/site/placeholder

Securities are not suppose to show in the Account bar.  The Account bar is for accounts.  Securities are different than accounts.

Thanks.  All transactions were loaded from the Wells Fargo download.  No Placeholders.  It appears that each load from WF updates the number of shares and Securities values but does not update the overall value shown in the Account Bar.  I have other IRA accounts that handle this correctly, showing the value in the Account bar of any cash plus the securities values for all the securities in the IRA.

This is an IRA SEP account, made up of multiple mutual funds and ETFs.  They show having values (unit value times number of shares) but they are not reflected in the overall value for the Account in the Account bar.  it only shows what is in the cash component.

Do you have valid current prices for the mutual funds and ETFs that are held in the IRA SEP account?

Also, go to INVESTING > Portfolio.  What do you see for your IRA SEP account there?  Are there any holdings of the mutual funds and ETF's?  Do they have a share amount and a Market Value?

Also, go to the actual register for the IRA SEP account.  What does the Cash Balance and Total Market Value say in the bottom right corner?
