Restoring QM17 from a backup file

I am trying to transfer a backup file from one Mac to another but when I try to restore from the backup file, the program goes into a routine that assumes I am converting from an Essentials file. What am I doing wrong?

    Hard to say, but I don't know if you are doing anything wrong.

    If this is indeed a Quicken for Mac 2017 file, then the backup is nothing more than a compressed (zipped) file of the original. I suggest you:
    1. Move your backup to the desired location and change the extension to ".zip". MacOS should give you a warning about this. This is OK, so confirm.
    2. Double click to open the file. Your Quicken file will now be extracted.
    3. Open the extracted Quicken file. It will be a plain old Quicken for Mac 2017 file.
    4. You can place the backup file in the Trash if so desired.

    I did as suggested and received the following which makes no sense to me as I have the latest version of Q.

    Subsequent to my second post and your reply, I renamed the un-zipped file and was able to use it to open a new version of Q and it seems to be working.  I will know more after I use it.
