Stock quotes for Canadian stocks updating to American price

I'm just starting wth QM18 after years in Windows.  My Canadian stocks that also trade in NY, like Enbridge, CIBC, Bank of Nova Scotia are now all updating using American prices in my Canadian accounts.  This is just plain wrong. Is there a work around?  In the Security info screen on Windows you could check off the exchange, but that is not an option when you click on the security in QM18.  Is there a way to specify the correct exchange from which to get the quote?  This is a very serious issue because I have so many stocks in this category and I can't see correct holdings or run a Report that my accountant needs for taxes needed this month.

I don't think manual; entry will help because they will all revert as soon as the next d-l occurs.

The Canadian members can better answer if this is the correct answer, but I always recall them use the correct exchange as a prefix with a colon. For example TSE:xyz will get the prices from the Toronto Stock Exchange for said security.

I Have already tried .TO suffix which didn’t work and I tried T: prefeix which did not work. I will give your idea try but I am not hopeful

I use TSX:BNS ( as an example for Nova Scotia Bank )
    and it works fine
For the name of the Stock itself, I add CA at the end, as I did owned both US and CA stocks
ex: BCE CA (TSX:BCE) and BCE US ( BCE )

Sorry y'all, it didn't work.  TSX:BNS yields message:"Quicken cannot find this security.  Quicken cannot download price information for this symbol..."

I still need help here and soon to get my year end statements done.

AHA. You suggested TSX to me but you used TSE.  I'll try again. Still a glimmer

OK Here's another one for you in QM18.  There doesn't seem to be a stock class or type for preferred shares.  IN QWin16, I think they had preferred, but even if they didn't you could add stock types manually.  How have you gotten around this.
