Account shows in checking, should be in savings

From the menu bar in Quicken on your computer, select "tools" - "account list" - select "edit" on the account you want to delete and then select "delete"

From the colored bar above your register click the plus (+) sign to the right of Accounts -or- select "tools" - "add account"  and then select "Savings", create and name the account.

Quicken will ask you to enter the savings account balance from your last statement so it will be as if you are starting fresh with a new account. Unless someone else knows something I don't, you won't be able to restore the savings account data from a backup because the restoration process will remove the new account and you will be back where you started with the savings account listed under checking.

If you want that data in a hard copy, print a savings transaction report before deleting and adding a new savings account.
