How do I transfer all of one accounts transactions from an old data file to my current data file

The best way to move the data from one account is to export the file to a QXF (Windows Transfer) file and then import it into your current data file. This will more than likely cause some duplication, but then you can go back through and remove the accounts that you don't need and leave the account that you need.

Quicken Harolds instructions are essentially correct. I would suggest the OP take a copy of the old file and delete everything but the desired account. Then export the data as a QXF file and then import the QXF file into the destination file. This will minimize any duplication issues.
Also, in Mac, the QXF file will handle investment accounts and transactions - going from QMac to QMac. It is the conversion from QMac to QWin that fails to handle the investment accounts in QXF format. The failure is on the QWin side.QWin & QMac (Deluxe) Subscription
