Is there a way for Quicken Deluxe 2019 to automatically put the next check number into the system as default - without always entering it?

You can't get it to auto-populate the field, but hitting the + sign will give you the next check # to be written.

Thanks. Just coming off Quicken 2007 where all lot of things were easier and user friendly.

I wouldn't say 2007 was easier-you just are more familiar with it. Give the new UI time-it has a lot of powerful features that the old version didn't have.

This particular feature is really exactly the same as Quicken 2007: hit + sign in the check column for Quicken to fill in the next check number; after the check number appears, if you need to adjust it up or down, just press the + or – keys to increment or decrement the number -- just like Quicken 2007.
