Unable to open Quicken Essentials File

    I was using Quicken Essentials when my power went out and now my file won't open. It says, "This data file may have been opened with a different version of Quicken Essentials." Are there any work arounds to getting my file open?

    The database is corrupt. We usually see this when data files are stored on remote locations (web share, network). But, power failures can even corrupt local files. Rare, but it can.

    Unfortunately, there really is nothing you can do outside of restore from a backup file (if you created one).
