Why isn't Quicken 2017 registering a stock purchase?

I recently purchased some Stocks and entered the information into my system as I have in the past, however, the stocks do not show in my Investing window.

Why?

  If you haven't already, I suggest you verify the security is not set to be excluded from the view: select Customize

  Thank you for the input---went to Options->Customize current view...->Securities tab and check recently purchased Stock and wal-ah it appeared....Again Thank you....
