How do I remove bank deposits from Spending reports?

When I run spending reports on my checking accounts, negative numbers show up for deposits to that account, which result in an inaccurate spending report. How do I set up the report to exclude those deposits?

Well, in your first post you DID say "spending reports", correct?
The only way I can think of deposits showing up as negative spending is if you have the deposit categories set up as "expenses" rather than "income".
Go to Tools > Category List > and scroll to the deposit category. Select the category, press on the arrow at the right and select Edit. Make sure that the category is listed as Income. Or, if you have it listed as a subcategory that the main category is listed as Income and NOT an expense.

Customize the report and in the Category section uncheck the category for the deposits.0

I'm not aware that I'm running a report. On my home screen I just select spending and then choose the accounts that I want included0

Similarly credit card payments or showing up at Income. Is there a way to fix that?0 -
Credit card payments are transfers from your checking account to the credit card account.
Transfers NEVER show up on that Spending screen.
