Can I replace/overlay Q2017 Premier w/Q2020 Premier?

I have recently downloaded Q2020 Premier. Can I use that to replace my current Q2017 Premier?

  Actually, the install of QW2020 will first uninstall QW2017 ... and then install QW2020.

  BUT, the data files for the 2 are completely interchangeable ... and the data is in the QDF files, not in the program.
