Why won't Quicken open

I try to open Quicken from my desktop icon and from my list of available programs to no avail. All my work on populating it and now it won't open

If Quicken opens while pressing the Ctrl key, I suggest you restore a recent backup file: https://www.quicken.com/support/advanced-data-file-troubleshooting-correct-problems-quicken-windows

Otherwise, I suggest you perform a clean uninstall, install and update. If you haven’t already, you may want to review: https://www.quicken.com/support/using-qcleanui-uninstall-quicken
