Old PC died, how to put on new PC

Using quicken basic on old win 7 machine that died, have backup of program files and think I have all the intuit files on flash drive, how do I run this on a new win 10 machine? tried to click on application while on flash drive and nothing.... Got original download on internet and it self installed without a bulk download, so have no disc or CD to start from.

Assuming your Quicken Basic is 2013 or older, you can download/install Quicken 2013 Deluxe from https://assistant.quicken.com/patch/ASDES5672FR13/Old_Products/QWIN/QW2013DLX.exe. Hopefully you have your data files.Quicken Subscription HBRP - Windows 100

Can't open the old program on the flash drive but all the files have dates of 12/2013 or 01/2014. If I create a new folder in C, program files and transfer to that , will it staart from that? I assume the registry entries are looking for something that is in the wrong place. I tried the reload of pre 2013 and it loaded fine but my backup file says it is newer and won't load.0

You can't transfer the Quicken software from 1 computer to another. It needs to be reinstalled from the installation media. What is a "reload of pre 2013"? Did you download/install Quicken 2013 Deluxe from the link I posted?Quicken Subscription HBRP - Windows 100

I installed the pre 2013 version and when I tried to restore my backup file it says it is newer and won't reload the backup. I got the old computer up and running again, it has version 2014 deluxe, which still works fine on the old win 7 computer. how do I transfer this program and make it work on the new Win 10 PC?0

You need the installation media (CD or downloaded file) to reinstall Quicken 2014 Deluxe on a Windows 10 computer. You can't transfer the Quicken program.Quicken Subscription HBRP - Windows 100

Which is more important having your Quicken 2014 program or upgrading to the latest version?
