How to convert Quicken for Mac 2007 file to Quicken 2020 for mac?

I found an article telling me how to do this. I followed the directions and finished by selecting the old quicken qdfm file to be converted. Quicken crashed. Now what?

One suggestion: if you still can run Quicken 2007 on your Mac, try re-indexing your data file (press Command-Option-B), then quit Quicken 2007 and re-launch Quicken 2020, and try to convert your data file again.
