How or can I set my options for inputting items in register? (edited readability)

 so that check numbers which do stay in order; but I want the other items I input to stay at the bottom of the day I am inputting them???

    Sherlock, thanks for your reply, had QKN not edited the heck out of my email you would have known I was using Quicken 2005 (no not a typo). Used it for years like it, am use to it, works fine. Well at least it use to! I have gotten older, but I remember in the past that as you input in register it push entries down, not put them at the top for the day which is an order I don't prefer. Thanks again.
