Setting up a new file with existing accounts and categories

I am trying to create a new file from my old one. I want to keep the accounts and categories, but remove all of the transactions. Since I've got data in there going back three decades, I just want a fresh start. I don't care about any of the past data, and am too lazy to reenter all the account and category info. Any ideas??

First be sure to have or create a backup of your active data file!How about you try creating a copy of your data file using File / File Operations / Copy. When you get this panel
Change the Copy options to only include this year's transactions and uncheck the 2nd and 3rd checkmarks as needed.
Personally, I'd suggest that you keep about 4 - 5 years worth of transactions in the reduced Copy file. Makes research and historical reporting easier.After Copy is done, open the Copy file (UKRCpy in the above example because my active file is named UKR) and keep using it instead of the original file.If you Sync to Mobile you need to reset or switch the Sync process to start using the new file.
