Purchased a subscription - do I need to download as well?

I just purchased a subscription to maintain institutional downloads for my Quicken 2017 Mac version. Do I have to do anything else other than pay for the subscription? It seems like I am being asked to download software. If I do need to download, how do I do this and, is it going to mess with the data I already have?

YES you need to both download AND install your new product.You download from the Q site where you bought the product. There's a "download" button there.
