Is there any way that Quicken can include securities symbols in a Banking Transaction Report?

    Not in the Banking Transaction report, but would the Investment Transaction report work for your purposes? That has a column for the symbols.

    Are there any transactions that are included in a Banking Transaction Report that would not be included in an Investment Transaction Report?

    You should experiment!

    The banking transaction report will include banking accounts; the investment transaction report only includes investing accounts. There may be more information than you want in the investing report.
